Impossible Love

How can I love you? Is it possible to love while being in love with another, or maybe a little different, is it possible to be in love while loving another? It is (sometimes) difficult to separate the two concepts and even more impossible to combine them. Is it not obvious that one leads to the other? Can a blunt knife sharpen itself? Of course not. Love is a knowledge. We are not born with it. From birth we are taught to love. In the beginning it most probably is a confusion of our infantile dependence but slowly we differentiate between our feeling for a doll, the house cat or dog and special people around us. We play, test and experiment. In ignorance we trip over puppy love. We are stupid, honest and fearless. The confusing pain and emptiness of a love that inexplicably dies leaves us feeling foolish, pained and scared. But we learn! Never again will we openly declare our love. Neither show it. We nurture it within ourselves -- distant love. We collect pebbles and build a wall ar

Golden Rook Ch 68-75

Notes: 1) If you see this version of the story anywhere other than Literotica it isn't supposed to be there. 2) Because of shorter chapters, this is being posted in chunks. 3) This is the last chunk of Golden Rook and the next story, Hammer and Feather, will go up soon. ***** *Sixty-eight* Kwes tried not to sigh as Amtalia climbed out of his bed. "I thought I'd be happy to have you stay, Kwes but you're being a miserable lump," the half-elf teased while she prodded at him. "Get up, go find something to take your mind off of whatever it is that happened. If you don't want to work, you can try talking to your father about your mother's things." "I'll think about it." Laying in bed, he stared up at the ceiling. His sister was supposed to help him steal his inheritance but she hadn't even bothered to say goodbye after Odos had taken them to the camp near the mine. She'd just left without even a word, no apology, no explanation

A Party at Crangle Chase

Looking back, I probably should have realised that all was not well even before we reached the front door. The lights along either side of the long gravel driveway were all working. But they were those low-voltage solar-charged garden lights. Ahead of us, the country house hotel itself was in almost total darkness. 'We have not the electricity,' the smiling fellow in the candle-lit reception area tells us when we go to check in. 'Oh?' 'Not the heating as well,' he says. 'Why not the heating?' I ask, finding myself slipping into his strange syntax. 'Not knowing,' he tells me. 'And...?' 'We are not being open for the guests.' 'Not open! But we have driven for six hours,' I tell him. He smiles and nods. But there is nothing to smile about. 'It's my wife's birthday,' I tell him. 'An important one. Or at least it will be. In a few hours' time. This is supposed to be a special weekend. I made the bookin

The Four the Merrier

You know I'll have something special planned for you later, but exactly what you don't know. Of course, there was that fantasy you told me about several weeks ago. The one involving two other men. But that one seemed a little extreme. It was one of those fantasies that was likely just to remain a dream. Still, as you stop at the corner you notice two handsome men in sharp suits who stop their discussion and look at you. Their gazes last longer than normal, and their smiles seem a bit too knowing. Would they be? No, most likely not. As you arrive at your home you notice two other men across the street. They're fixing something by the curb - dressed only in work pants with shirts off, their bronzed muscles glinting in the sun. Is it just a coincidence or are they looking at you with an eye

Family Vacation

This is my submission for the Summer Lovin' contest, I hope you enjoy. Like most family men, I have seen the way my wife and I vacation evolve from the honeymoon to a time with kids. This is a fantasy of how that evolution might be reversed in one fateful experience. I hope you enjoy and appreciate your votes. Stories with similar names often involve step mothers and/or incest. If that is what you're looking for, you won't find it in my story. ~NCG Family Vacation "Checking in, reservation for Kincaid," "Yes, Mrs. Kincaid, welcome to the Grande Marine resort, how was your trip down?" "Fine," came the response, but it had been far from fine. The reality was that eight hours in the minivan with boys ages 5 and 8 was never a good time. Then what was supposed to be a business call with Mandy driving and Matt on the phone became an in-depth contract-negotiating conference call requiring a two-hour stop at a rest area in West Virginia where she had

Seeking Seduction

Seeking Seduction (c) 2020 by Skarlette One 1. When in Rome The Seductress had me. Less than an hour ago, I'd been running late for lunch with my father. Getting to the American embassy always took longer than it should have. Rome's notorious traffic didn't care that I was Zoe Zimmer, daughter of the ambassador. The gridlock didn't care that my Maserati could go from zero to sixty in 3.6 seconds and turn on a dime. To be honest, my father wouldn't care that I was late, or if I skipped lunch entirely. Would anyone care if this traffic jam swallowed me whole? The car in front of me hadn't moved in seven minutes when the woman slid into my passenger seat. Tall. Dark hair. Steel grey eyes. A long leather skirt and black lace bustier under a charcoal jacket. She made an impression. "Excuse me!" I barked. "What do you think you're -" "Shush, Ms. Zimmer. Be quiet." Her voice was as smooth as the black silk glove she ran across my che
